Well…what if it can lead to health benefits too?
So, what exactly is an exercise “snack”?
It is a 20 second bout of exertion running or quick stepping up 60 stairs. Performing this exercise 3x a day (morning, afternoon, and evening), 3 days a week, has been proven to help improve energy levels, productivity, decrease stress and improve cardiorespiratory fitness.
For those of you who may not enjoy climbing stairs…good news. You can do this with burpees, jumping jacks or running down the street. As long as it’s for 20 seconds as quickly as you can. It does not even require a warm up beforehand!
That means only performing a high intensity exercise for 60 seconds a day, 3 minutes for a whole week can improve your health significantly.
