This Glute Exercise Can Really Help!

As Ivan eloquently stated in our last email, there is a process that we need 

to go through to determine the SOURCE of your hip or buttock pain and an efficient method to STRENGTHEN your hip after a proper diagnosis has been made.

In terms of strengthening, we often start with isometric exercises progressing to full range of motion exercises. We then add graded resistive exercises and eventually plyometric or impact loading exercise for those that wish to return to sport/running. Performing lunges while holding a weight on the opposite side has been shown to increase gluteus medius activation by 90%.
