April is national stress awareness month so here at OrthoWell we wanted to share one of the best ways to reduce stress… take a deep breath… and repeat!
In a previous post, we discussed how plantar fasciitis may not be all about what’s going on in the plantar fascia (check out that post HERE) A thorough examination can reveal mechanical sensitivity in some of the surrounding peripheral nerve, namely the calcaneal/plantar branches of the tibial nerve. It’s likely that the pain syndrome starts out as purely plantar fasciitis, but then progresses to mechanical nerve sensitization.
